"So close and yet so far away" Sleeping accommodation: 1st bedroom with double bed 2nd sleeping area (sleeping loft) The second sleeping accommodation is a sleeping loft with space for up to 3 people, ideal for teenagers or sporty adults. The sleeping loft is accessible via a ladder and is not suitable for small children and people with reduced mobility. Our "Altes Forstamt Sinntal" is picturesquely situated on a hill above the Sinn valley and the village of Altengronau. In the middle of the almost 2 hectare property and the gardens, which are known throughout Hesse, you can enjoy the view far into the Franconian hilltop Rhön and the Spessart. Numerous secluded spots offer many opportunities to "unwind". At night, when the sky is clear, you can see a fantastically clear firmament, just like in the Rhön Star Park. Our cottage "Pferdestall" (horse stable), approx. 60sqm, offers a cozy experience of nature even in less beautiful weather thanks to its many windows and cozy underfloor heating. The bedroom and the separate sleeping loft offer comfortable space for 4 people. During your stay, use of the vegetable and berry garden and the greenhouse is free of charge. Own honey, apple juice and ready-to-cook venison from our own hunt can be purchased. For groups there are 2 further vacation units, as well as a separately bookable room for up to 10 people, with fully equipped kitchen and toilet for celebrations, seminars etc., available. Pick-up from the nearby Jossa train station is possible. 1 pet per vacation unit allowed. Seating + sleeping facilities are reserved for 2-legged guests. Celebrations + seminars up to 10 people possible (see above), loud parties not. Our nature, unique in Hesse, with beaver, otter, black stork, adder, chess flower, orchids and much more are a "treasure" that you can hike almost undisturbed. Supermarket with local bakery approx. 500m below in the valley. In Sinntal, the Tiny Home "Waldwagen" Altes Forstamt Sinntal welcomes you with 8 sqm of living space for up to 2 guests. It features a bedroom with a sleeping alcove and a living area with a covered entrance. The fully equipped kitchen and private bathroom with shower (approx. 30 sqm) are for your exclusive use in the main house, about 50 meters away via an unpaved path. Amenities include Wi-Fi, a private grill, self check-in, 2 bicycles, bath towels, and access to local herbs and fruit. Juice from our own orchards, honey from our beekeeping, and game from our own hunting can be purchased on site for an extra fee. The property offers mountain views and step-free access indoors. Enjoy the approx. 4,000 sqm shared garden on the 18,000 sqm estate. Various themed gardens offer numerous seating areas with panoramic views of Spessart and Rhön. A shared table tennis table is also available. There is a shared parking area on site. One pet is allowed per unit. Events outside the event kitchen are only possible by arrangement. Parents with small children are asked to supervise them due to the pond garden on the grounds. Please use the compost only for plant-based waste. The Waldwagen is bookable from April to October and is equipped with a stove for heating. Electricity is provided via a power bank. The hosts live on the property, but not in your accommodation. Bookings for weddings or larger family celebrations that exceed the event kitchen's capacity must be arranged in advance. The event kitchen allows cooking, dining, and celebrating for up to 12 people. Three additional holiday units in the main and annex buildings with a total of 10 extra beds are available for guests.
